Owain Fawr King of North Wales was born in 1100 in Aberffraw Castle, Angelesey, Wales.  Owain Fawr King of North Wales' father was Prince Gruffydd II Of Gwynedd AP CYNAN and his mother was Angharad "The Goldened Hair" FERCH OWAIN AP EDWIN.  His paternal grandparents were Prince Cynan Of North Wales AP IAGO and Ranaut Olaf Of Dublin Ingen; his maternal grandparents were Lord Owain "The Traitor" Tegaingl AP EDWIN and Morfydd VERCH GORONWY. He had two sisters named Gwenllian and Susanna.  He was the youngest of the three children.  He died at the age of 70 in 1170.  He was buried in Bangor Cathedral, Wales.
