King David  I  (The Saint) was born in 1084 in Scotland.  King David  I  (The Saint)'s father was King Malcolm  III  (Longneck) of Scotland and his mother was Margaret  (The Exile) Atheling.  His paternal grandparents were King Duncan  I  (The Gracious) of Scotland and Aelflaed Fitz Siward; his maternal grandparents were Prince Edward  (The Outlaw) Atheling and Princess Agatha von Brunswick.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 69 on May 24th, 1153 in Carlisle, Cumberland, Eng.
