Edith was born in 1163.  Edith's father was Richard Pincerna and her mother was Beatrice de Villiers.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert Pincerna and Ivetta Helgot; her maternal grandfather was Matthew de Villiers.  She was an only child.

They had a son named Adam.
