Robert was born in 1212 in Radcliffe, Lancashire, Eng. Robert's father was Adam de Radclyffe and his mother was Alice de Curwen. His paternal grandparents were William de Radclyffe and Cecilia de Montbegon; his maternal grandfather was Adam de Curwen ***. He was an only child. He died at the age of 78 in 1290.-
