Gerard was born in 1256 in Kingston Lisle, Berkshire, Eng. Gerard's father was Baron Robert de Lisle and his mother was Alice Fitz Gerald. His paternal grandparents were Robert de Insula and Sarah de Aunus; his maternal grandparents were Henry Fitz Gerald and Ermenrtrude UNKNOWN. He was an only child.
They had a son named Baron Warin.
