Alice was born in 1195 in Tuxford, Nottingham, Eng. Alice's father was Richard de Lexington-Sutton and her mother was Matilda de Lexington-Cauz. Her maternal grandparents were Robert de Cauz and Sybil Bassett. She was an only child.
