Richard de Clare 
Richard was born in 1162 in Tunbridge Castle, Kent, Eng. Richard's father was Roger (The Good) de Clare and his mother was Maud (Matilda) de St Hilary. His paternal grandparents were Richard FitzGilbert de Clare and Adeliza (Alice) de Meschines. He had three sisters named Elena, Mabel and Eveline. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died at the age of 56 on December 30th, 1218 in Damietta, Palestine enroute to the Holy Land.General Notes
