Phyllis Minnie was born on May 1st, 1909. Phyllis Minnie's father was Philip Williams and her mother was Marion Elizabeth Muxworthy. Her paternal grandparents were John Williams and Elizabeth Holwill; her maternal grandparents were Edwin Muxworthy and Lucy Barnes. She had three brothers and a sister, named Philip Ernest, Albert George, Edwin John and Lucy Elizabeth. She was the third oldest of the five children.-
