Gerlinde was born in 0679 in Alsace, Lorraine, France.  Gerlinde's father was Odo Domesticus and her mother was Adela of Pfalzel.  Her maternal grandparents were Count Hugobert Palatine and Irmina of Oeren.  She was an only child.  She died after 0698.

They had a son named Count Richbald.
