Amalberga's father was Thrasamund UNKNOWN and her mother was Amalfrida UNKNOWN.  Her paternal grandfather was Geiso UNKNOWN; her maternal grandparents were Theudomir Konig der Ostgoten and Erlieva UNKNOWN.  She was an only child.

They had a daughter named Rodelinde.
