Margery was born in 1466 in Harlsey Castle, York, Eng. Margery's father was Sir Richard Strangeways and her mother was Elizabeth Neville. Her paternal grandparents were Sir James Strangeways and Elizabeth Darcy; her maternal grandparents were Sir William Neville and Joan Faucomberge. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Sir James, Richard, William, Thomas, Elizabeth and Jane. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.-
