El Shandon was born in 1450 in Backiny, Ayrshire, Scotland.  El Shandon's father was Thomas Squyre   ***. He had a brother named Richard.  He was the older of the two children.  He died at the age of 31 in 1481 in Backiny, Ayrshire, Scotland.
