Maude Alice was born in April 1888 in Iowa. Maude Alice's father was John Carlos Squire and her mother was Evelyn Brush ***. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Turner Squire and Sally Ann Andrus ***. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John Carlos, Fred Miles, Datus Ray, Edward Turner, Ann Marie and Margaret Evelyn. She was the oldest of the seven children.-
