Luman was born on April 25th, 1800 in Oxford, Canada. Luman's father was Nathaniel Squier and his mother was Jemima Delano. His paternal grandparents were Nathaniel Squier and Martha Beers. He had four brothers and a sister, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Ethan, Thomas, Hiram, George, Sarah and Unknown. He had six half-brothers and six half-sisters, and also a half-sibling of unknown gender, named John, Odell, Amasa, Ambros, Warren, Luciano, Mary, Louisa, Lodemia, Lovice, Lucina, Sally Ann and Unknown. He died at the age of 77 on May 28th, 1877.-
