Nathard's father was Saint Angilbert Ponthieu and his mother was Bertha UNKNOWN.  His paternal grandfather was Nithihard UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were Emperor Charlemagne UNKNOWN and Hildegarde UNKNOWN.  He was an only child.  He died in 0823.

He had a biological son named Helgaud.
