Maelmuir I was born in 1036 in Scotland. Maelmuir I's father was King Duncan I of Scotland and his mother was Queen Aelflaed Sybilla of Northumbria. His paternal grandparents were Cronan UNKNOWN and Beatrix of Scotland. He had two brothers and a sister, named King Malcolm III (Ceannmor), King Donald III Bane and Margaret.
