Bryan was born about 1437 in Saltfleetby, Lincoln, Eng. Bryan's father was Martin Newcombe and his mother was Mary Sanford. His maternal grandparents were Bryan Sanford and Elizabeth Green. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Christopher, William, George, Elizabeth, Mary and Margaret. He was the oldest of the seven children.-
