James McDonald

James was born about 1820 in Chesterfield, SC.  James' father was Daniel McDonald and his mother was Emma Flora (Effy) Douglas.  His paternal grandfather was John McDonald   ***; his maternal grandfather was Daniel Douglas. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Daniel, Hugh, Flora and Catherine.  He was the youngest of the five children.
