Obadiah was born on March 25th, 1635 in Dorchester, MA. Obadiah's father was Richard Hawes and his mother was Ann Clapp. His paternal grandfather was Richard Hawes; his maternal grandfather was Edward Clapp ***. He had two sisters named Deliverance and Constance. He was the oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 55 on October 5th, 1690 in Dorchester, Suffolk, MA.-
