Jonathan was born on August 11th, 1609 in Chaffcombe, Somerset, Eng. Jonathan's father was Rev William Edward Gylett and his mother was Habiathia Pye. His paternal grandparents were Richard de Gylett and Joan Enberg. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Habiah, Andrew, Nathaniel, William, Elias, Thomas, Jeremiah and Mary. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 68 on August 23rd, 1677 in Windsor, CT.-
