James French

James was born on March 13th, 1773 in Evesham, Burlington, NJ. James' father was Thomas French and his mother was Mercy Cox. His paternal grandparents were Robert French and Hannah Cattel; his maternal grandparents were Newberry Cox and Elizabeth Unknown. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Thomas F., Joseph, Robert, Elijah, Elizabeth, Hannah and Barzillai. He was the second oldest of the eight children.
