Sampson was born on October 27th, 1641 in Bedham, MA. Sampson's father was John Frary and his mother was Prudence Townsend. His paternal grandfather was Henry Frary; his maternal grandparents were Edmund Townsend and Amy Gallawaye. He had a brother and a sister, named Isaac and Theopilus. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 62 on February 29th, 1704 in Deerfield, MA.-
