John Elliott 
John was born in 1778 in Devon, Eng. John's father was Grace Martin and his mother was William Elliott. His paternal grandparents were William Martin and Elizabeth Ford; his maternal grandparents were William Elliott *** and Catherine Burt. He had four brothers and two sisters, named William, Thomas, James, Peter, Elizabeth and Mary. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died before 1812.-
