Samuel Curtis 
Samuel was born on July 7th, 1681 in Southold, Suffolk, NY. Samuel's father was Caleb Curtis and his mother was Elizabeth Ryder. His paternal grandparents were Richard Curtis and Sarah Carwithy; his maternal grandparents were Thomas Ryder and Abigail Terry. He had three brothers and three sisters, named Joshua, Caleb, Richard, Elizabeth, Sarah and Hannah. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 58 on May 24th, 1740 in Hebron, Hartford, CT.-
