Richard was born about 1418 in Hamstall, Eng. Richard's father was John Cotton and his mother was Isabella Fawconer. His paternal grandparents were William Cotton and Agnes Ridware; his maternal grandparents were Sir William Fawconer and Cecily UNKNOWN. He was an only child. He died after 1457.-
