Mary (Maria) was born in 1541 in Ingestre, Stafford, Eng. Mary (Maria)'s father was Sir Thomas Chetwynd and her mother was Johanna Salter. Her paternal grandparents were William Chetwynd and Elizabeth Ferrers; her maternal grandparents were Sir John Salter and Margaret Ottley. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Robert, Francis, Frederick, Dorothy and Margaret. She was the second youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 115 in 1656.-
