Sir William was born in 1370 in Egerton, Cheshire, Eng. Sir William's father was Sir William Brereton and his mother was Ellena de Egerton. His paternal grandparents were Sir William de Brereton and Margery Bosley; his maternal grandparents were David de Egerton and Isabella Venables. He was an only child. He died at the age of 32 in 1402.-
