Meschines was born about 1173 in Cheshire, England.  Meschines' father was Kevelioc De Meschines. She had two sisters named Amicia and Meschines.  She was the second oldest of the three children.  Meschines is no longer alive.

‌Meschines and William were married in a religious ceremony about 1162.
