Rohese was born in 1252 in Tunbridge, Kent, England. Rohese's father was Richard DE CLARE ,8th Earl of Clare and her mother was Maud DE LACY , Countess of Lincoln & Gloucester. Her paternal grandparents were Gilbert DE CLARE 7th Earl of Clare, SURETY and Isabella MARSHALL; her maternal grandparents were John DE LACY , Earl of Lincoln SURETY and Margaret2 DE QUINCY. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Gilbert'the Red', Bogo, Thomas, Margaret and Isabel. She died after 1316.General Notes
