Adney Carley 
Adney was born on February 11th, 1805 in Bridgewater, Litchfield Co, Vt. Adney's father was Quartus G Carley and his mother was Rebecca Smedley. His maternal grandparents were Samuel Porter and Joanna Cooke. He had a brother and a sister, named Jedediah Washington and Cynthia. He was the second oldest of the three children.
