Henry, known as Lt. Col., was born in England. Lt. Col.'s father was Sir William Awbrey and his mother was Elizabeth Johns. His paternal grandparents were Edward Awbrey and Joan Havard; his maternal grandparents were Sir Thomas (Sir Thomas Johns Of Abermarlais) Johns and Anges Morton. He was an only child. He died in 1675.
