Saint Clodulph was born in 0596 in Austrasia, France. Saint Clodulph's father was Arnoul Metz and his mother was Dode Schelde. His paternal grandparents were Bodigsel Metz and Oda Saviy; his maternal grandparents were Arnoldus Schelde and Oda Swabia. He had a brother named Ansegei. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 94 in 0690. He was buried in Bishop of Metz.-
