Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey Eu and Heloise Guines; her maternal grandfather was Fulk Aunou. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Gilbert, Richard Fitzgilbert, Helisa and Elisie Hesilia. She was the youngest of the five children. She had a half-brother named Baldwin.-
