Roger was born in 1189 in Clifford Castle, Herfordshire, Eng. Roger's father was Walter Clifford and his mother was Agnes Cundy. His paternal grandparents were Walter Clifford and Margaret Toeni; his maternal grandparents were Roger Cundy and Alice Cheney. He was an only child. He died at the age of 43 in 1232.-
