Adeliza was born in 1077 in Essex, Eng.. Adeliza's father was Hugh Clermont and her mother was Margaret Roucy. Her paternal grandparents were Renaud Clermont and Ermengrdis Clermont; her maternal grandparents were Hildouin III Montdidier and Alice Roucy. She had a brother and two sisters, named Renald II, Ermentrude and Adelaide. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 86 in 1163.-
