Maud was born in 1157 in Wilton Castle, Herfordshire, Eng.. Maud's father was Walter Cantiloupe and her mother was Melette Dyman. Her paternal grandfather was Walter Catiloupe. She had a brother named William. She was the older of the two children.
They had a son named Hugh.
