Robert VIII was born on July 11th, 1274 in Wriittle Chemsford, Essex, Eng.. Robert VIII's father was Robert VII Bruce and his mother was Margaret Carrick. His paternal grandparents were Robert VI Bruce and Isabella Clare; his maternal grandparents were Nei Carrick and Margaret Stewart. He was an only child. He died at the age of 54 in June 1329 in Cardoss, Dunbarton, Scotland. He was buried in "THE" Bruce, as in Up The Bruce!!!.-
