Robert was born in 1145 in Newton Willows,Mayerfield Lanceshire, Eng.. Robert's father was Thurston Banastre. His paternal grandfather was Thurston Banastre. He had two sisters named Maud and Margery. He was the second oldest of the three children. He died at the age of 47 in 1192.
