William Hix Jr 
William was born about 1804 in Kanawha Co,WV. William's father was William Hix and his mother was Hannah Garrad\Jarrett. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Hicks and Melvina Cole; his maternal grandfather was David Jacob Garrad\Jarrett. He had seven brothers and two sisters, named David, Joseph Stephen, Ellis, Achilles, Thomas, John, Jesse, Elizabeth and Mary. He died on April 22nd, 1862 in Kanawha Co,VA.
‌William and Rachel were married in a religious ceremony on February 2nd, 1830 in Kanawha Co,WV. They had five sons and three daughters, named William C, Benjamin D., Edward C., Squire, John Thomas, Sarah Margaret, Almeda and Mary.
