Lydia was born in 1769 in Brunswick,NJ and her baptism took place in 1772 in Long Run Creek,Botetort Co,Va. Lydia's father was John COMPTON and her mother was Margaret (German Lady) Raemer. Her paternal grandparents were Isselstyne Usselton COMPTON and Orchie Altje or BLUE BLAAW. She had four brothers and a sister, named Jeremiah H, Stephen, Joseph, John and Elizabeth. She was the second youngest of the six children. She had a half-sister named Amy. She was buried in comptonology pg,84,142,44.General Notes
