Hellen was born on November 28th, 1852 in Rosendale,Fon du Lac County,Wisconsin.1 Hellen's father was Bennett and her mother was Bennett. She had three brothers named Freeman, Ellery and Palmer J. She was the second youngest of the four children. She died at the age of 69 on December 26th, 1921 in Helvetia twsp,Waupaca County,WI.. She was buried in b.Riverside Cem.Iola.General Notes
Birthplace documentation: Ardythe Koteski of Neenah, and her sister June Steinbarth of Fond du Lac. June said, "Helen's brother Palmer Bennett bought a farm in Iola, and she went to live there with him; that's how she got aquainted with my grandfather, Simon Guthu"
According to June, "I (Crystal Schulz Carew), was 6 months old when Grandmother died. She was crippled up with arthritis."
Helen's parents were from Holland.
Her obit is on file. It gives names of two brothers: Freeman Bennett of Bergen, New York, and Palmer Bennett of Iola. Another is Ellery.

‌Hellen and Simon Peder were married in a religious ceremony on December 2nd, 1871 in Rosendale,Wisconsin. They had seven sons and seven daughters, named Albert, Clarence Elmer, Charlie, Oscar Palmer, Arthur Simon, Benjamin Hale, Lawrence Sylvester, Willie Rice, Ella Adele, Nettie Adel, Jesse Parden, Pearley May, Polly Mae and Helen Pearl.
