Osburga of the Isle of Wright 
Osburga was born in 0810 in Wessex, England.1 Osburga's father was Oslac of Isle of Wright. She was an only child. She died at the age of 66 in 0876 in Wessex, England.1 General Notes

religious woman, noble both by birth and by nature; she was daughter
ofOslac,
the famous butler of King Ethelwulf [=AETHELWULF]."

". Alfred's mother hight Osburga, a devout woman, and keen of wit
withal,great of heart as high in birth. Child she was of Oslac,

Osburga and Aethelwulf were married in a religious ceremony in 0830.1 They had a son named Alfred the Great.
