Eadburga was born in 0830 in Mercia, England.1 Eadburga's father was Wigmund of Mercia and her mother was Elfleda of Mercia. Her paternal grandfather was Wiglaf of Mercia King of Mercia; her maternal grandfather was Ceolwulf I of Mercia King of Mercia. She was an only child.General Notes

Parentage is conjectural, some say daughter of Coenwulf.
