Cleopartra III's father was Ptolemy IV Philopater d'Egypt and her mother was Cleopatre II d'Egypt.  Her paternal grandparents were Ptoleme III Euergetes d'Egypt and Bernice de Cyrene; her maternal grandparents were Ptolemy V Epiphanes d'Egypt and Cleopatre I de Syrie. She had a half-brother named Ptolemy V Epiphanes.
