Theordoric was born in 0489.¹ Theordoric's father was Clodovech le Grand (Clovis) des Franks and his mother was Amalaberge Herule. His paternal grandparents were Childeric (dit d'Yssel) de Francie and Basina von Thuringen. He had a half-brother named Chlothar (Lothar)I "Le Vieux". He died at the age of 48 in 0537.¹
