Romanus II of Byzantine Empire was born in Constantinople.1 Romanus II of Byzantine Empire's father was Constantine Skleros (Porphyrogenitus) and his mother was Helena [Helen] of Byzantine Lecapenus. His paternal grandparents were Leo "The Wise" VI of Constantinople UNKNOWN and Zoe Carbonupsina UNKNOWN; his maternal grandfather was Romanus I of Byzantine Lecapenus. He was an only child. He died in 0963.1 
‌Romanus II of Byzantine Empire and Theophano of Byzantium were married in a religious ceremony in 0956.1 They had a daughter named Anne of Greece.
