AEthelfrith seizes the throne of King Edwin

50 years. This is the same time period of Fergus macErc's rise in
Dalriada and St. Columba in Iona. in 685 Picts severly defeat the Angles
at Nechtansmere, Ecgfrith King of the
Angles is slain. Caledonia remains separate from Anglia at an early date.
