Death: An inventory of Real & Personal Estate of Richard Roper deceased
19 Dec 1782 was fi led in Greensville Co. Court on 23 Oct 1783. It
shows one Negro named Dick, 3 horses, 13 catt le, 10 hogs, 5 sheep, 7
geese and about 50 small items. Things like skillet, frying pan, sadd
les, washing tub, charis, snuffers and etc. A court's valuation of
property shows Richard rec eived pay for 5 days carting.

Richard and 1St Wife were married in a religious ceremony about 1759 in Maybe Brunswick, Co Va.1 They had three sons named Frederick, James and John.
