Major was born before 0100 in 64 BC.1 Major's father was Caius Senator Octavius and her mother was Major ATIA. Her paternal grandfather was Caius citizen Octavius; her maternal grandparents were Marcus Balbus Atius and Minor JULIA. She was an only child. She died in 11 BC.1 
‌Major and Marcus Triumvir of Rome were married in a religious ceremony in 40 BC.1 They had a daughter named Antonia.
