Petronilla was born in 1185 in Freiston, Lincoln, England.1 Petronilla's father was Guy De Craon and her mother was Isabel Basset. Her paternal grandparents were Maurice De Craon and UNKNOWN Clarice; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Bassett and Alice\Adeliza De Dunstanville. She was an only child.
